4 Korners Family Resource Center

In a spirit of respect, support and empowerment the 4 Korners Family Resource Center is a non-profit organization, which enables youth, adults, and seniors in the Laurentians to access information, resources and services in English. In order to attain that objective, 4 Korners disseminates information to encourage and facilitate the use of existing resources and services offered by other agencies and institutions. 4 Korners promotes healthy families as the building blocks of a healthy community and believesin the value of having an accessible, affordable and comfortable place for people to meet, build social networks, and exchange information. The Center values the right to receive health and social services in English and states that "each voice is significant within an organization, a system or a community, and therefore a strong sense of belonging and responsibility should be encouraged."

4 Korners aims to promote mental and physical health by delivering programs and services to people marginalized by factors such as isolation, low income, low levels of education, single parenthood, language, and other risk factors. 4 Korners provides early stimulation programs for pre-school children, operates a drop-in-daycare (Halte Garderie) and offers programs to prevent isolation, frailty and other conditions associated with aging.
