Repercussion Theatre
As a young actor, director, producer and entrepreneur, Cas Anvar founded Repercussion Theatre in 1988 as a way to create work for young artists in Montreal. More than 20 years later, it is this spirit and drive that keeps Repercussion Theatre delivering on its promise to employ young people, bring theatre to the community and entertain and educate using the works of William Shakespeare. Repercussion Theatre, known for its Shakespeare-in-the-Park summer theatre tour, is one of the few theatre companies in the world that tours professional, classically based productions to different communities. Over the years, Repercussion has performed in many unique spaces, traveling through the U.S. and Canada.
The company also offers classical theatre productions year-round along with acting classes and professional workshops, as well as educational outreach and professional workshops. Repercussion Theatre is a not-for-profit organization that survives on the generosity of public and private supporters.
As an integral part of the cultural fabric of Montreal, Repercussion Theatre is dedicated to building community bringing people together to experience high quality, professional, classically based theatre regardless of income, culture, language, age or education. By supporting Repercussion Theatre, you are investing in a much-loved Montreal tradition, helping to create memories, and introducing new generations to live theatre.
