The song, which aims to unify young Quebecers whatever their language, was commissioned by the QCGN and first heard at the Community Priority Setting Conference that took place in Montreal in March. The Conference concluded with the signing of a&nbsp;<span>declaration that identifies&nbsp;</span><span>priorities to ensure a vital and sustainable future. They are: Access to services in English;&nbsp;</span><span>Community Building</span><span>; Economic Prosperity; I</span><span>dentity and Renewal</span><span>; Leadership and Representation;&nbsp;</span><span>as well as&nbsp;</span><span>Strong Institutions. <p>&ldquo;The declaration distills these priorities to their very essence to ensure our community sees itself reflected in all of them,&rdquo; said Noel Burke, chairman of the Priority Setting Steering Committee (PSSC), noting that individuals and organizations can attach themselves to these community-wide concerns when working with government and other partners.</p>

<p><em>Since September 2011, the Quebec Community Groups Network (QCGN) has undertaken a priority-setting process for the English-speaking community of Quebec that aims to unite our communities in a cohesive and articulate expression of a future in which we are, as a community, vital, vibrant and sustainable.&nbsp;</em></p>
<p><em><em>Leading up to the Community Priority Setting Conference this weekend, the Strategic Priorities Forum consulted the community extensively through 19 consultations, five focus groups and an online survey which received more than 500 replies.&nbsp;</em></em></p>
<p><em>This weekend more than 150 delegates will discuss who to move forward together with a collective set of priorities.</em></p>

The goal of the survey is to get your feedback on the priorities that emerged. We also hope to begin mobilizing individuals and community organizations around a common action plan for the future that will influence policy and programs leading to concrete improvements in the lives of all English-speaking Quebecers.</span></p>

Nineteen community consultations took place this past fall to hear the community&rsquo;s needs and priorities for the future.</span></p>
